Orlando, FL (PRWEB) May 31, 2012
Green Air Project, Inc, (greenairproject.org) a Florida non-profit focused on helping companies offset their carbon emissions, announces today its exclusive partnership with “Come Out With Pride Orlando” (COWP).
The partnership will be showcased during this year’s COWP events from October 1-7th. All COWP activities, including the parade and vendor activities during the weeklong event will be certified Carbon Neutral by Green Air Project.
“We are excited to be the first ever certified carbon neutral Pride event in the country. It’s incredible that we’ll be helping people celebrate diversity in an eco-friendly way,” said Mikael Audebert, Executive Director for Come Out With Pride.
The partnership arrangement also includes COWP’s first ever “Green Zone” at the heart of the event’s activities. This new “Green Zone” will be sponsored and organized by Green Air Project and will display the top sustainable organizations in Central Florida. COWP attendees will be encouraged to visit the green zone to learn more about green initiatives.
“The goal of the ‘Green Zone’ is to showcase companies and ways that everyone can make a difference. Most people do at least a few eco conscious things, and hopefully the ‘Green Zone’ will encourage them to do more,” commented Meg Weathersby, Marketing Coordinator for Green Air Project.
Come Out With Pride is a week-long event culminating in the Pride parade that draws over 100,000 attendees annually and will take place this year on Saturday, October 6th. This event will feature numerous vendors and activities.
