Khan was caught between a rock and a hard place. “It was so hard for me
to concentrate. Very stressful, two days after that I was told it was
definitely off, I packed my bags. But I still really wanted the fight.”

“I felt bad, I felt bad for the fans who were flying over, I felt bad for
my friends. The tickets, the plane journeys, taking time off work… everyone
missed out. “

“So now I’ve got Danny Garcia. It has worked out well for me. Garcia sprang
onto the scene when he beat Erik Morales when I was in training camp in The
Philippines. The negotiations were very hard – whoever we fight the numbers
we are asked for are ridiculous.”

“But things happen for a reason. The truth has come out with the Peterson
issue, and I’m back on track. I can’t wait to get in there, now.”
